What a year it's been! 2020 brought forth a lot of challenges for everyone, but also brought some good. For us, the best thing that happened was The Lounge. You've helped us build an amazing community that provides a getaway for players to hang out with and make new friends, show their PvP strengths, leap from missile to missile, and most importantly, make some good memories in a year many thought lost.
We pushed through into 2021, and have been working non-stop behind the scenes to make things bigger and better, and it's time we start sharing it all with you!
Better branding!
We figured it was about time we got a nice trim and shaped up our looks! With the help from our good friend @ArtsByKev, we are proud to introduce our updated branding, including our new logos, new colors, and even our new mascot, Lumi! A happy, fluffy flame cub that will help us at Lumine Studios give all of our creations a little more character! If you see Lumi wandering around the hub, make sure to say hi!
New Hub!
Speaking of hubs, we've done some renovations! While it isn't ready to be explored just yet, keep an eye out here and on twitter for more teasers and updates! We've been filling it to the brim with new easter eggs, places to explore, some NPCs, and more!
New Games!
When we started out we had big aspirations, and a lot of them didn’t always work out. We haven’t given up though! The second half of this year we’re working hard to make The Lounge as good as it can be, with some unique new games coming (minigolf finally?) that will finally show off the stupid things we can do. We hope you’ll all enjoy them as much as we do!
New Friends!
You’ve all seen the new partners floating around lately, and that’s because our social monkeys have been working hard to find us new friends. We hope to bring on several new partners soon, including our new friends over at Hype Unit who will be hosting an SMP and several new events coming up, and we hope that will bring in an influx of new people to hang out with!
Merch!
We're actually very proud of our new logos (thanks again Kev!) and have decided to give you all an official way to rep us! We are also launching our new Merch Store! The store contains things such as shirts and hoodies! If things go well, we can even get more options and designs over time!
Survival Reset!
Now onto the part we know a lot of you are looking forward to, the Survival Reset. Our Vanilla+ Survival has been an anchor for us at the Lounge since day one, from our adventures looking for the Umbrix (blame Carson on that last step being late, he got hit by a bus), to the mega builds around the map, and towns and memories built along the way. Survival maps however, always have a life expectancy, and ours is drawing near. While this is somber for many of us, it's necessary for us to have the room needed to grow. So celebrate with us in Vanilla+ Survival Season 2, where we look forward to polishing everything that made us, us. We look forward to watching you discover new dimensions, new bosses, new ores, and new items (Moonstone tools?), along with seeing you all build even more stories for everyone to experience!
