MINECRAFT SERVER RULES

Preface:

The Lounge staff team works hard to make sure the server is a safe and fun environment. This of course starts with the following rules.
By joining The Lounge, a player becomes a rule-abiding member and therefore is expected to know the rules and understand what will happen if they are broken.

Note that not following the rules, or trying to find loopholes to any rules, may end up in a punishment. The severeness of the punishment depends on the specific rule and the players previous history.

We are a mature server and as such you will see certain language and topics that might not be appropriate for younger people. This is allowed and does not warrant any sort of report. Obviously overly offensive and derogatory language is still punishable as per the following ruleset.

Any and all rules regarding written content on the server include (but are not limited to): public chat messages, private chat messages, books, signs, builds, maps.


General Network-Wide Rules:

We DO NOT allow:

• Being a Dick - Being unreasonably rude, trying to find gray areas in rules, being a nuisance to players and staff. Remember, staff decides on regulatory action based on evidence and intuition. Do not deliberately test their patience!
  
  
• Chat Spam & Begging - Excess amounts of the same letters, characters, numbers or capitalization in one message; repeatedly sending the same message in a short amount of time; begging for items/gear/help will result in a punishment. Be mindful of what you post in chat;
  
  
• Sharing Personal Information - We do not tolerate sharing names, ages, locations or any other personal information about yourself or other people. This includes jokingly sharing fake information as staff is not obligated to verify the authenticity of such information;
  
  
• Impeding Staff’s Work - Giving members of staff false information, submitting false reports or ignoring their guidance;
  
  
• Harassment & Disrespect - Being excessively rude to other players or staff; making players uncomfortable and not stopping when asked;
  
  
• Hate Speech - Including but not limited to: racial, homophobic, sexist slurs or different variations/alterations of those words. Be respectful of other people;
  
  
• Drama & Politics & Religion - Keep all personal drama & topics political or religious in nature off the server. We do not wish for those topics to negatively affect the general atmosphere;
  
  
• Inappropriate Content - Hateful & Overly Suggestive in game names, skins, builds, topics, links, item names;
  
  
• Threats - Inciting physical or mental violence towards other players; encouraging self harm;
  
  
• Advertising- Publicly inviting players to join other servers, advertising social media or content creator channels (e.g. Youtube/Twitch) which are not related to The Lounge without consent from senior moderators or higher level members of staff.
  • Links include QR codes, direct links or any unidentifiable fake links;
    
• Joking About Hacking & Hackusating - Saying or suggesting that you are hacking when you are not; purposefully making false hacking accusations towards other players;
  
  
• DDOS & DOX Threats - Any mentions of DDosing / DOXing other players or the server. This includes joking or discussing it with other players;
  
  
• Bug & Glitch Abuse - Gaining an unfair advantage by exploiting unintentional mechanics;
  
  
• Hacked Clients & Unfair Modifications - Using client side features for gaining an unfair, gameplay changing advantage. "Is _____ allowed?"
  
  
• Ban & Mute evasion - Joining the server on an alt account to bypass a punishment. This will lead to a permanent ban or mute on both accounts.

Survival Server Rules:

We DO NOT allow:

• Griefing - Destroying or placing blocks, killing or spawning entities, or otherwise modifying areas that do not belong to you or to which you do not have the owner’s permissions;
  
  
• TP Killing & Player Trapping - Intentionally abusing the teleport system to kill or trap other players;
  
  
• AFK Machines - Any contraption allowing you to bypass being marked as AFK;
  
  
• X-Ray - Client side feature (e.g. texture pack or a similar modification) that aid players in finding valuable ores, resources, caves, and structures that would normally not be visible;
  
  
• Duping - Duplicating an item or entity via intentional or unintentional game mechanics. This includes acquiring otherwise unobtainable materials via bugs or glitches;
  
  
• Lava Casts & Cobble Monsters - Enormous cobblestone structures generated when lava and water collide;
  
  
• Lag Machines & Excessive Redstone - Too much active redstone may cause issues for the entire server. Be mindful of your redstone contraption designs - just because it worked on singleplayer/your own server, does not mean it would suit our server;
  
  
• Automated Flying Machines - Redstone mechanisms using slime/honey blocks and pistons to move players, entities, or structures in the air, which could continue working for an infinite amount of time or would cover more than a 20 block distance, and need no player input after starting it;
  
  
• Unicode - Using unicode characters or images on item names, pet names, signs, etc.

PVPPIT Rules:

• Teaming - Teaming up with other players is allowed;
  
  
• Farming - Farming kills for an increased killstreak with the goal of obtaining higher-level gear is restricted by an in-game mechanic. It is discouraged;
  
  
• Scamming - Refer to the general ‘Being a Dick’ rule. Staff may rule for regulatory action when needed. Be smart about your trades and use /trade.
